Block storage overview

Block storage is a block device product provided by LightNode for ECS. It has the characteristics of high performance and low delay, and meets the data storage requirements in most general business scenarios. You can format and set up a file system to use block storage just as you would a physical hard disk.

Restrictions

• The upper limit of a single ECS instance supports attaching three hard disks.
• The hard disk must be attached to the instance and cannot exist alone.
• The hard disk can only be expanded, not reduced. Please select the size of the hard disk according to your business.
